About a month ago, letters went out inviting Gackle-Streeter parents and students to the Crash Course Event that was taking place in Steele. I was informed more recently, that you are invited to attend any of the Crash Course events that are taking place this year, you only need register for the event for which you plan to attend. If you were unable to take advantage of the event in Steele but are still interested in attending, please visit the website listed below for dates and locations of upcoming Crash Course events.

Crash Course is a hands-on program for parents and students in grades 7-12 to help prepare for life after high school. The program covers:

  • Financial Aid for Seniors
  • Pre-Planning Financial Aid for Grades 7-11
  • RUReadyND: hands on education & career planning for parents and students
  • State Scholarship Requirements
  • Job Service ND: Jobs available locally, regionally ad hot jobs in the state
  • Youth Forward: Career conversations on YouTube, Facebook & Twitter
  • Life After High School

These events begin at 6:00 pm with a free meal; followed by a two hour program with several breakout sessions, and ending with a laptop give away to one lucky student and a digital camera give away to one lucky parent.
