Litchville-Marion Career Fair

Sophomores and Juniors will be heading to Marion next Monday (Jan. 14th) to participate in a career fair. Students attending have completed a career cluster inventory to identify their top 3 career clusters (career categories of which they are interested). There are approximately 50 career representatives lined up for the fair to help students learn about the variety of careers available to them in their clusters of interest. This is a great way to help broaden students awareness of careers that they could find fulfilling and rewarding that they  perhaps have never heard of. Permission forms will be going home with students this week. Please be sure to check with your student so they don't miss out on this great opportunity to explore careers!!!

Sophomores will be taking the PLAN test on Wednesday, January 23rd starting at 8:40 am. This is a preparatory test for the ACT which students take in April of their Junior year of high school. ACT scores are part of the qualification requirements for the State Scholarship Program. Students must receive a 24 or higher on their ACT to use their ACT scores to qualify. The PLAN test is a great way for them to begin preparing themselves so they can score their best on the ACT next year. Upon receiving their PLAN scores, students will have an estimated ACT score which helps them to identify areas in which they should focus to improve their chances of getting the ACT scores they want and need. Please make sure that your child gets a good night sleep and a decent breakfast the morning of the PLAN. Your support and encouragement makes all the difference in your students life!

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this test.
