Nodak Mutual Farm Bureau Scholarship

Nodak Mutual Farm Bureau is offering six $500 scholarships for Stutsman County High School seniors planning to attend college or technical school in ND, SD, MT, or MN and those currently enrolled in college as a freshman. Applicant's parents must be current Stutsman County Farm Bureau members (receive insurance from Nodak Mutual). Application deadline is March 20th, 2012. Prairie State Plant Managers Group Scholarship

Prairie State Plant Managers Group Scholarship Program is offering a $1,000 scholarship ($500 each year) to a graduating high school senior who plans to enroo in a two-year electronics, telecommunications, or electronics/telecommunications program at a college. National Energy Center of Excellence Open House

On Tuesday, April 24, the National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE) will be hosting their annual open house.  If you have a son or daughter who is interested in a career in energy, please encourage them to attend!  Students can visit with industry representatives, faculty, admissions and financial aid representatives.  Tours will be provided and BSC scholarships and bookstore gift certificates will be given away.  Please visit our site to RSVP: http://energy.bismarckstate.edu/nece/openhouse/.

This event is located on BSC's campus and begins at 3:30 and runs till 7pm. High school students, parents and those looking for a second career are encouraged to attend.

Logan County Soil Conservation District Scholarship

Logan County Soil Conservation District will be sponsoring a Water Quality Scholarhsip for eligible seniors in Logan County. There will be two $500 scholarships awarded. The Scholarship theme is "Why conserving our water resources is important to you." Deadline is March 14th, 2012. BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is offering a $500 award to a deserving student athlete. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport(s) they participate in. Applicant must be a high school senior or be attending a post-secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at the institution or in the community. Deadline is June 22, 2012. North Dakota Farmers Union Youth Program

"Catch the fun, the flavor, the feeling, the fever of the North Dakota Farmers Union Youth Program"
North Dakota Farmers Union Youth Program is the largest camping program in North Dakota. It's mission is to develop visionary rural leaders through interactive programs that facilitate commitment, teamwork, creativity, leadership and citizenship, through cooperation, legistation and education.

This program is comprised of several components including County Day Classes, Summer Camps, Leadership Roles and Free Trips and Awards. These are all great ways to build both individual character, leadership and, as a result, a scholarship resume!!!

BAIT Career Awareness Camp

BAIT (Business and Information Technology) is a Career Awareness Camp put on by Valley City State University and the Sheyenne Valley Career & Technology Center. The mission of this camp is to inform students about opportunities in business and information technology through active participation in hands on activities and assistance with personal career planning.

The 3rd annual BAIT Camp is scheduled for June 12th-15th (Tuesday-Friday) on VCSU's campus. Students entering grades 9-12 are encouraged to participate. The cost for campers is $75 which covers the cost of tuition, room and board, recreation activities and a camp shirt. Registrations will be accetped through June 1st and camp enrollment is limited. If interested, please register early to ensure a spot at camp.

North Dakota Farmers Union Scholarships

Besides the North Dakota Farmer's Union Scholarship, which was posted earlier this year, and for which the deadline has passed, there are also a number of other scholarship opportunities available through NDFU. For all the following scholarships, students or their parents must be Farmers Union members to be eligible to apply.

Co-Op House Scholarship--Open to students planning to enroll in any area of study as freshmen at NDSU and whose GPA is a 2.5 or higher during last 3 years of school. Deadline is March 15th. Application can be accessed at www.ndfu.org/youtheducation/scholarships.asp

Cooperative Studies High School Scholarship Program--Open to graduating high school seniors pursuing an agricultural-related major at any two or four year college throughout the nation. Cooperative Studies Two-Year Scholarship Program--Open to first year agricultural students at any two year college. A total of twenty-five (25) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline is April 1st. Applications can be accessed at www.chsfoundation.org/scholarshipprog.html

Cooperative Studies University Scholarship Program--Open to students currently studying agriculture at select universities around the nation. Stanley Moore Scholarship--Open to any high school senior, college student, or non-traditional student seeking funding to attend either a 2 or 4 year college, university, or technical schol for any area of study. Gate City Bank Community Scholarship Program

Gate City Bank Community Scholarhsip Program will award forty-nine $1,200 scholarships this year. Applicants must be a ND or western MN high school seniors planning to attend college (at least 2 year program) in the fall following high school graduation.
Application deadline is April 1st, 2014.

North Dakota Propane Gas Association Scholarship

Application Procedures and Rules:
  • Immediate family must purchase bulk propane from a ND Propane Gas Association Marketer Member
  • Must attend an accerdited ND college, university or trad school the same year scholarship is received
  • Must be a high school senior
There is no formal appliation form to enter. Creativity and imagination will be a segment of the judging process. Application deadline is March 26th, 2012.

Young Women in Public Affairs Awards

The Jamestown Zonta Club is currently accepting applications for the Young Women in Public Affairs awards, which recognize young women for their demonstrated leadership, skills and commitment to public service.

Young women of any nationality, who are ages 16-19 living or studying in a Zonta district/region at the time of application and demonstrate evidence of the following are eligable to apply.
  • Active commitment to volunteerism
  • Experience in local or student government
  • volunteer leadership achievements
  • Knowledge of Zonta International and it's programs
  • Advocating for Zonta International's mission of advancing the status of women worldwide
