College SAVE Programs
The College SAVE program through the Bank of North Dakota provides a number of programs to help parents and/or grandparents begin college savings plans for their children or grandchildren.

- Children FIRST Program. This program focuses on beginning the saving process from the time a child is a newborn. When a parent, family member, or friend submits an application to Children FIRST on behalf of a ND baby (born Jan. 1st, 2011 or later), the Bank of North Dakota will contribute the first $100 for college to that child's Children FIRST account. - Matching Grant Program. This program could potentially provide your child with up to $900 of free money (if you meet qualifying criteria) from the Bank of North Dakota!
- Ugift--Give College Savings Program. This program allows you to invite family and friends to contribute to a child's college savings account using an automated online system.

Rushmore National Music Camp (Grades 6-College Freshman)
The 38th Annual Junior High Camp (Grades 6-9 starting Fall 2012) is scheduled for July 29th-August 3rd, 2012. This camp will be located on the Northern State University Campus in Aberdeen, SD. Campers may choose to stay on or off campus. On campus cost is $345, off campus cost (includes 10 meals) is $295.
The 42nd Year Senior High Camp (Grades 9-college Freshman starting Fall 2012) is scheduled for August 5th-11th. This camp will be located at Camp Judson near Keystone, SD in the heart of the Black Hills. Cost for this camp is $415.

Stephanie Dockter Scholarship
There is a scholarship opportunity available for students interested in attending VCSU. This scholarship was established by Stephen Dockter who is a former Streeter School Graduate in memory of his daughter who was killed by a drunk driver. The scholarship ranges from $500-$1,000 and is open to any Gackle-Streeter Graduate. VCSU determines the recipient in Dec-Jan, so call now and see if you are the lucky one!

Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a senior student in Dakota Valley's service area.

UND + MN Vikings $10,000 Academic Scholarship
The University of North Dakota + Minnesota Vikings $10,000 Academic Scholarship is in it's final 2 weeks of enrollment.
One deserving student interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree at UND will be awarded this $10,000 scholarship. Applicants must be an incoming college freshman in 2012 and the winner will be selected based on their high school GPA and standardized test scores, as well as a 1,000-word personal statement highlighting their career goals, achievements, overcoming adversity and what the opportunity to study at UND would mean to their future.

Altru in Grandforks has a wonderful program available for students in grades 11 & 12 interested in the medical fields. U.S. Scholarship Program
RMHC®/Scholars: All students are eligible to apply regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
General Eligibility Requirements
To apply for an RMHC scholarship, a student must:
- Be a high school senior
- Be younger than 21 years old
- Be eligible to attend a two- or four-year college, university or technical school with a full course of study
- Be a legal U.S. resident
- Live in a participating RMHC Chapter’s geographic area
- Submit a complete application and all required documentation by the deadline on the application
- Meet any additional eligibility requirements outlined by each scholarship program
- Provide verification of enrollment each year at respective accredited post-secondary institution
How to Apply
The deadline for the 2011/2012 academic year is January 27, 2012. Applicants will be notified of scholarship award status in May – June 2012.
